Buried Beneath is the debut album from Australian Metal Band "Enlightened By Darkness"; for which Stand Up Comedian Douglas Harvey (aka Hayden) served as lead Vocalist.

Formed in the Beef Capital of Australia (Rockhampton Central QLD) in 2005, EBD created a dedicated Metal scene in a town where gigs for original artists didn't exist. A town where the only concert venue doubled as a bullriding stadium. After self releasing their EP "Time To Change, EBD recruited a new bass player and guitarist and began writing for their album Buried Beneath.

Buried Beneath took all the elements EBD had experimented with on their EP and kicked it into overdrive. An eclectic mix of influences as diverse as Judas Priest, At The Gates, Iron Maiden, Dissection, Nevermore and Carcass; EBD had a sound that was fun, heavy, hard to define and unique.

EBD played hundreds of shows and became the biggest band to emerge from Central QLD in years, leading to them sharing the stage with I Killed The Prom Queen, COG, The Butterfly Effect Dead Letter Circus, LORD, Nervecell (UAE), Empyrean and many more. They were profiled on MTV, had their track "Eyes" used in a television advertisement and were featured on 6 Metal compilations in America as well as 5 in Australia.

In its year of release, the album track "Take This Leper's Hand" was a finalist in the 2007 edition of Queensland's QSONG Music Awards and tracks from their album still receive airplay today.

The album has been unavailable for some time but is now available for purchase for those wishing to grab a copy of an underground Aussie metal classic.
